William Thomas Hemphill, 63, of Toccoa, passed away Monday afternoon, February 3, 2020, at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, Georgia.
Born November 18, 1948, he was the son of the late Harry Edward "Ed" and Gertrude Ethelyn Griffin Hemphill. He was the brother of the late Harry Hemphill and Mike Hemphill. He served in the United States Army. An electrician he owned and operated A&B Electric Company in Kennesaw, GA. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Toccoa.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Bobby Hanley of Carnesville; four grandchildren, Jonathan Hanley, Luke Hanley, Emma, Hanley and Joshua Hanley; sister Mary Beth Hemphill, Weaverville, North Carolina.
Memorial Services will be Saturday morning, February 15, 2020 at the Toccoa Presbyterian, with Rev. Gary Pierstorff and Rev. Paul Rettew.
