Royston

Whitney Deanna Carey, born on November 29, 1988, left us on June 2, 2023,  in Royston. Whitney was survived by her loving spouse Keeley Carey, daughter Rylie Sanders and a host of family and friends to cherish her memory.

She was the daughter of the late Harold Roach Jr, the granddaughter of the late Wendall Harold and Willie Ruth Pritchett Roach Sr., and niece of the late Burney Hendrix.   Whitney was an extraordinary person who loved spending time with her family and friends. She was known for her sparkling personality and always brought a smile to everyone's face. She had a kind heart, genuine nature, and infectious laugh that would lift the spirits of those around her.   Whitney had many passions in life but above all was devoted to the outdoors and physical fitness. She completed the Half Marathon “Go Ruck” Race in Atlanta.  She loved hiking and hunting, and especially loved fishing,

Survivors include her spouse Keeley Carey, Royston; daughter Rylie Sanders, Lavonia; mother Melody Ann Roach, Canon; sister and brother-in-law, Bethany and Brandon James, Dearing GA; Grandparents, Charles “Junior” and Dianne Hendrix, of the Goldmine Community; aunt and uncle Bettie Ruth and Dwayne Grizzell, Canon, GA.

Whitney's life will be commemorated with a Memorial Gathering at Ginn Funeral Home in Carnesville, Sunday afternoon, June 11, 2023.   Family and friends will gather from 3pm until 5pm, to  share stories and memories of her sweet soul.   In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the benefit account of her daughter Rylie Sanders (custodian Keeley Carey) at any Pinnacle Bank branch.

The family also request everyone wear their brightest T-shirts or fishing or  hunting attire to commemorate the life of our beloved Whitney.
