Tootsie Andrews

April 23, 1930 — June 17, 2026

Marilyn "Tootsie" Andrews, age 96, of Carnesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at Veranda Assisted Living Home. Born on March 23, 1930, in Carnesville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William Wesley Williams and Ella Dickson Williams.

Mrs. Andrews was a lifelong member of Allens Church, where she faithfully served her Lord and church family for many years. She taught Sunday School, helped with the Good News Club at Carnesville Elementary School, and was actively involved in numerous church activities. She was also a dedicated member of the Eastern Star 294 and enjoyed participating in programs at the Franklin County Senior Center. Known for her kind spirit and loving heart, Tootsie never met a stranger and touched countless lives through her compassion, generosity, and unwavering faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Andrews; brothers, Tom Henry Williams, L.B. Williams, Horace Williams, Sam Williams, Dan Williams, Carter Williams, Marvin Williams, and Lee Williams; and sisters, Frances Rampley and Ruby Crump. And Daughter in law Rhonda Andrews. 

She is survived by her children, Deb (Ted) Pritchett of Carnesville, Georgia, Allen Andrews of Carnesville, Georgia, and Pat (Kenny) Hill of Carnesville, Georgia; grandchildren, Nicole (Chet) Ford of Wasilla, Alaska, Jeremy (Carmen) Andrews of Waleska, Georgia, Brad (Rebekah) Gibson of Carnesville, Georgia, Brandon (Nikki) Gibson of Lavonia, Georgia, Genni (Matt) Smith of Petersburg, West Virginia, Dana (Tommy) Davidson of Carnesville, Georgia, Tyler (Chelsea) Hill of Lavonia, Georgia, and Andrew (Samantha) Hill of Lavonia, Georgia.

She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Jordan (Logan) Isit, Liam (Anna) Ford, Gavin Ford, Caris (Case) Booth, Wurth Ford, Declan Ford, Billy Ford, Josie Andrews, Chloe Andrews, Brenson Andrews, Cade Gibson, Nolan Gibson, Kaylyn Gibson, Grayson Gibson, Rhet (Brianna) Grambrell, Madee Hardy, Joshua Smith, Daniel Smith, Caroline Hill, Kipton Hill, Blakley Hill, and Ramsey Hill; great-great-grandchildren, Will Ford and Ariella Ford; sister-in-law, Mary Williams; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Allens Church with Rev. Leon Carson, Rev. Mike Westbrook and Rev. Johnny Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Allen's Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Ginn Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at Ginn Funeral home.

Flowers are welcome; however, memorial contributions may also be made to Allen's Church.

The family is at their respective homes.
