Stanley Woodall

James "Stanley" Woodall, age 69, passed away on December 25, 2025, in Comer, Georgia.

Stanley was born in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late Johnny Sheriff and Barbara Sheriff. Stanley had a deep passion for NASCAR racing and faithfully followed the sport for many years. He especially admired his favorite driver, Chase Elliott, whom he considered a hero. Stanley rarely missed a race and enjoyed keeping up with Chase Elliott's career, celebrating his victories and sharing his excitement with those around him. NASCAR racing brought Stanley great enjoyment and was one of his favorite pastimes.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Sheriff.

Stanley is survived by his mother, Barbara Sheriff of Carnesville; his uncle, Harold Henderson of Carnesville; Roger Neese of Duluth, Georgia; and Glenda Brackett of Blairsville, Georgia. And numerous cousins who loved him dearly. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Ginn Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral services for Stanley Woodall will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Lavonia, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Chase Elliott Foundation in Stanley's Honor.
