Shelby Chatham Moore

Shelby Chatham Moore, age 87, passed away in Baldwin, Georgia, on April 30, 2026.

Born on September, 14th 1938 in Carnesville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Chatham and Nora Bryant Chatham. Shelby was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was retired from the Franklin County School System where she worked as a paraprofessional and was a faithful member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Moore; and siblings, Icie Wood, Wilma Carson, Edsel Chatham, Brant Chatham, Robbie Ashley, and Newell Chatham.

She is survived by her children, Larry and Ann Moore of Carnesville, Karen Bruce of Lavonia, and Kevin Moore of Lavonia; grandchildren, Braden and Daniel O'Connell of Commerce and Dalton and Alleigh Bruce of Lavonia and one great-grandchild, Jameson O'Connell. Along with several extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Ginn Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Cleveland officiating.
