Thomas "Robert" Hyde, of Royston, Georgia, passed away in Royston on January 7, 2026.
Robert was born in Royston, Georgia, on November 1, 1970, to the late Thomas Coy Hyde and Sarah Goldsmith Hyde of Hartwell. He was employed with Alliance Supply and Piping in Lavonia, Georgia.
Robert had many hobbies and was known for several things. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He also enjoyed fishing, woodworking, movies, and karate. Robert attended the Goldmine Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Coy Hyde, of Hartwell.
Robert is survived by his mother, Sarah Hyde of Hartwell; his son, Chance Robert Hyde (Amelia) of Hartwell; grandchildren, Ginger, Alvin, Annabelle, and Maddie; his sister, Kathy Henry of Royston; nieces and nephews, James Henry (Dana), Jonathan Henry (Shelly), and Jessica Kratina (Jay), all of Royston; and ten great nieces and nephews who were very fond of their Uncle Robert .
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Ginn Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow in the Ginn Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Larry Harper officiating. Graveside services will follow at Hopewell Community Church Cemetery in Carnesville.
