Ray Junior Wright

Ray Junior Wright, 85, of the New Franklin Community, passed away Saturday January 7, 2023 at NEGA Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born April 19, 1937, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Lee Roy and Essie Mae Holmes Wright. He was the widow of the late Betty Louise Cash Wright. He was the brother of the late Hulie Wright, Marvin Wright, and Mary Ellen Wright. He was a poultry and cattle famer and a logger.  He was a member of Double Branches Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Wright Smith, Canon; granddaughter Tiffany (Pepper) Lee, Canon; grandson, Jamie Smith, Augusta; great-grandchildren Ayden Lee, and Lariat Ray Lee; brother Bill (Debbie) Wright, Canon; and sisters Patsy (Stancel) Dove, and Annie Mae Cash, Lavonia.

Services will Thursday afternoon at 3pm at Double Branches Baptist Church with Rev. Nate Buner and Rev. Ben Jordan.  Internment will be in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home. They will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm at the church prior to the service. Flowers are welcome but any memorials be made to the family to help with medical and funeral expenses.  Condolences may be left for the family at ginnfuneralhome.com.
