Paul Scott Martin, age 79, of the Bold Spring Community, passed away on December 9, 2025, at his home.
Paul was born on August 27, 1946, in Commerce, Georgia, to Esscott and Pauline Hill Martin. He married Christine Varner Martin of Bold Spring. Paul retired from the United States Postal Service, where he worked for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer during the Vietnam War. Paul had a passion for farming and was deeply involved in FFA livestock shows. He was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Esscott and Pauline Martin, and his brother, Christopher Martin.
Paul is survived by his wife, Christine Varner Martin of Carnesville; daughters, Tina Barber and Charlton Barber of Carnesville, and Terri and Kevin Carruth of Hartwell; grandchildren, Brandon Poole of Statesboro,GA, Terra and Joshua Ankerich of Carnesville, Jordan Askew of Carnesville, Gabe and Emily Barber of Commerce, Carly Carruth of Hartwell, and Alex Carruth of Hartwell; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Grayson Barber. He is also survived by his brother, Gabe and Cecelia Martin of Carnesville, and his sister, Mary and Ed Smith of Brookhaven, Georgia.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Ginn Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Christopher Rayner officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Martin Family Cemetery.
