Patricia “Trisha” Ann Ayers LeBlanc entered into the presence of her Savior on December 22, 2025, at the age of 72, surrounded by her loving family in Roswell, Georgia. Born on October 10, 1953, in Augusta, Georgia, Trisha was raised in Carnesville and graduated from Franklin County High School in 1971. From an early age, her life was marked by a deep love for Jesus, a passion for reading, and a calling to serve others.
Trisha pursued higher education at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia, and Middle Georgia College in Milledgeville, where she earned a dual major in psychology and sociology. She later completed her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Georgia. Following her studies, she moved to Marietta, Georgia, and began her professional career as a social worker with the Cobb County School System.
In 1976, Trisha met the love of her life, Steve LeBlanc of Albany, Georgia. After a brief courtship and engagement, they were married on August 6, 1977, in Smyrna, Georgia at the Log Cabin Community Church. A devoted wife and mother, Trisha exemplified the heart of a Proverbs 31 woman. She chose to pour herself into creating a loving home and raising their two sons, Andy and Josh, while also using her sewing talents to make custom draperies to help fund family vacations. Once her children were in school full-time, she returned to her calling as a social worker, serving with the North Fulton Child Development Center and the Fulton County School System for 25 years and impacting the lives of countless children across all grade levels.
For more than four decades, Trisha was a faithful member of Roswell United Methodist Church. She attended worship regularly, grew deeply through her Berean Sunday School class, and eagerly participated in Bible studies. Her desire to know God more fully led her to travel to the Holy Land, where she was rebaptized in the Jordan River, a meaningful expression of her lifelong faith. An avid reader from childhood, Trisha delighted in books of every genre and often read several at a time. She was an active participant in multiple book clubs, finding joy in both stories and the community they created.
Trisha’s love for people extended far beyond her profession. She served on mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, Kenya, and Peru, meeting both physical and spiritual needs with compassion and grace. She also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, interviewing prospective homeowners, and with the American Red Cross and the RUMC Stephen’s Ministers, offering comfort and counsel to those experiencing crisis.
Trisha is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Steve LeBlanc; their sons Andy LeBlanc and his wife, Crystal (Rocco), and their children Alyeska, Elias, Talitha, and Acadia, and Josh LeBlanc and his wife, Cami (Poe), and their daughters Lacey and Kylee Grace; as well as her siblings, David Ayers and Janice Stanley.
Trisha is now joyfully reunited with those who preceded her in faith, including her parents, Duaine Ayers (d. 1964) and Eleanor Lankford Ayers (d. 2014).In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Habitat For Humanity or the Dementia Spotlight Foundation.
A celebration of Trisha’s life will be held on Monday, January 26, 2025, at 10am at the Roswell United Methodist Church Chapel, with a reception to follow.
