Morris Eugene Moore, 85, of Carnesville, passed away at his home Saturday morning, October 22, 2022.

Born September 27, 1937 in Carnesville, he was the son of the late Gartrell Eugene and Mary Sue Snipes Moore. He was the husband of the late Geneva Carter Moore, and was the brother of the late Doug Moore and Harold Moore. He was retired from FedEx. He was a member of Middle River Baptist Church and also attended New Bethel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Payne  Moore; three sons and one daughter-in-law; Greg Moore, Tim and Pam Moore, Jason Moore, all of Toccoa; grandchildren, Clay Moore, Will Moore, Matt Moore, and  Lindsay Moore; greatgrandchildren, Hadley Moore and Jack Moore.

Services will be Monday morning at 11am at B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tommy Childress and Rev. Joey Gilbert.  Interment will be at New Bethel Baptist Church.

The body is at Ginn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9am until 11am Monday morning prior to the service.  Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com.

Flowers are welcome but Morris’s wish was for memorial to be made to Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter, 870 Bear Creek Rd, Lavonia, GA 30553.
