Linda Gail Carter, age 63, of Commerce, Georgia, passed away on June 27, 2026, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
Born on October 17, 1962, in Toccoa, Georgia, Linda was the daughter of the late Darwin Carter and Ondeen Halford Carter of Toccoa.
Linda was a woman of remarkable intelligence, creativity, and determination. She was an accomplished business professional, serving as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), forensic accountant, and president of the family business, E/Z Bore, Inc. of Toccoa. Throughout her distinguished career, she spent 24 years with Eckhart in Atlanta and also worked for Powell & Booth Accounting Firm in Atlanta, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike through her integrity and expertise.
Linda was a member of Union Ground Church and Mount Zion Church. She found joy in both her faith and her many interests. She loved crafting, was an avid learner, and enjoyed collecting antique flatware, John Kollock artwork, and antique porcelain dolls. An accomplished pianist, she also generously volunteered her time at the Helen Arts & Heritage Center, where she shared her appreciation for the arts with others.
In addition to her parents, Darwin and Ondeen Carter of Toccoa, she was preceded in death by her brother, Trenton Carter of Toccoa, and her brother-in-law, Frank Grafton of Toccoa.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Norris Quinn of Carnesville; her sisters, Stephanie Grafton of Toccoa and Patricia Pulliam (Stacy) of Toccoa; her brother, Erwin Carter of Toccoa; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many cherished friends from Atlanta, Toccoa, Helen, and Carnesville.
Linda will be remembered for her sharp mind, unwavering work ethic, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. Her love for family, faith, art, and lifelong learning leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service to celebrate Linda's life will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Zion Church, with Pastor Tommy Childress officiating.
