Larry James Smith, 66, of the New Franklin Community, of Canon, passed away Monday evening, September 19, 2022, at the Stephens County Hospital.
Born May 20, 1956 in Stephens County, he was the son of the late Edern Edward and Mozelle Dela Lawrence Smith. He was the brother of the late Bruce Smith and Stanley Smith.He was a mechanic and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife Sandra Wright Smith, Canon; children, daughter, Tiffany Lee, Canon; son Jamie Smith, Augusta; two grandchildren; sister, Audrey Smith Rogers, Toccoa, and brother Allen Smith, Pendleton, SC; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday evening at B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Nate Bunner. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm Thursday evening prior to the service. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made to the NEGA Animal Shelter, Lavonia, or the Humane Society.
Graveside services will be Sunday at 230 at the Toccoa City Cemetery.
