Julia McFarlin Carter

Julia Ann Carter, 74, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away June 1, 2023, at her home.

Born October 12, 1948, in Royston, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Geraldine Ward McFarlin. She was the sister of the late Jean Moon.   She had retired as the executive secretary for Coca-Cola in Atlanta. Julia was a member of Floyd Road Baptist Church of Mableton, GA.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Farris Ray Carter; two daughters Kimberly(Andrew) Gordon, of Dallas Georgia, and Chanda (Matthew) Cabrera, of Hiram, GA; six grandchildren, Jessica, Kelsey, Carson, Tristan, Jensen, and Mason; two great-grandchildren, Kaden and Colton; two sisters, Joyce (Mark) Ray, Temple, GA, Janet (Ernie) Long, Carnesville, GA.

Services will be Sunday afternoon at 2pm at B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Allen Cox. Interment will be at Carnes Creek Baptist Church, Toccoa, GA.

Julia is at Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3pm until 5pm Saturday afternoon. Condolences may be left for the family at ginnfuneralhome.com.
