John Robert Lewis, 73, of the New Franklin Community, passed away April 24, 2020, at his home.
Born May 30, 1946, in Nashville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William Howard and Eva Louise Truell Lewis. He was the step-father of the late Peter Mack, and brother of the late David Lewis. Known as J R or "Bob" by family and friends, he was a gentle and caring soul that overcame difficulties with his hearing and was a blessing to his family. He was a member of the Mooresville church of Christ.
He is survived by his adoring wife Donna Williams Lewis; step-children, Kathy Coggins, Duncan SC, Bill Mack, Canon, GA, Amy Carroll Greer SC, Barbara O'Donnell Royston, GA; Andy Mack, Lakeland FL, Darrin Mack, Canon, GA, and Anna Bryant, Simpsonville, SC; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Billie and Gary Patton, Decatur Alabama.
Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, in Nashville, Tennessee.
