Joan Hitt

Joan Elizbeth Hitt, 67, of Carnesville passed away on October 3, 2024, at her home.

Joan was born January 23rd 1957 in Atlanta, Ga to Max Champion & Thea Austin. She was a farmer and enjoyed her dogs and time in nature.

Joan is survived by her two children Jamus & Stacey Waldrop, of Jefferson and Delia Damroze of Royston. Grandchildren Chase Waldrop & Ashton Waldrop of Dandridge, TN, Jonah Waldrop of Jefferson, GA, Sean Kelley of Royston, GA, Nicole Kelley of Piedmont, SC, Jordan & Jacob Hyden of Lavonia Ga, Travis Damroze, Dylan Damroze and Kameron Damroze of Royston, GA. Seven Great-grandchildren. And a brother Mike & Colleen Champion of Marietta, GA.

Joan is preceded in death by her husband Bill Hitt and parents Max & Maribeth Champion.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
