Jo Ann Gibbs

Jo Ann Gibbs, 90, passed away Monday evening, August 28, 2023, in Carrollton, GA.  

Born May 21, 1933, in Woodstation, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lula Brock Keys. She was the wife of the late Lillard W. Gibbs.  She was the sister of the late Evelyn Coulson, Willie Lee Wilson, Ruth Lawrence, and Una Teems. She was a graduate of Ringold High School and Berry College. She had been a teacher and was a rural postal carrier.  She was a member of Tom's Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include, one son and daughter-in-law:  David and Kay Gibbs, Carrollton, Georgia; three daughters and a son-in-law: Lisa Gibbs, Carrollton, Georgia; Fonda and Brian Hume, Tontitown,  Arkansas; and Shea Wilson and Paul Eben, Carnesville, GA;  seven grandchildren:  Justin, Andrew, and Conner Hume, and Derek and Luke Gibbs, Brody Wilson and Braden Wilson: four great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Nolan, Hudson, and Baylor; one brother Ben and Betty Keys, Jr., Chickamauga, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be Thursday afternoon at 2pm, at Franklin Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Brian Hume. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens North.

Mrs. Gibbs is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family are at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home, from 12 noon until 2pm prior to the service.
