Jimmy Jackson

James W. (Jimmy) Jackson Jr., age 78, passed away on May 31, 2025 at his home in Martin, GA.

Jimmy was born in Anderson, SC on March 23rd 1947 to Wade Jackson Sr. and Jessie Jordan Jackson of Toccoa. Jimmy married his high school sweetheart Doris Hallford Jackson of Martin, Georgia on August 21, 1965. Jimmy was a Gunsmith for 40 years and also worked with General Telephone.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Wade Jackson Sr. & Jessie Jordan Jackson.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Doris Jackson of Martin. Two daughters Lisa Brown Scoggins of Martin and Angie & John Neal of Martin. Four grandchildren Haylee & Matt Mayhue of Elberton, Hope & Dakota Duncan of Elberton, Jason & Nikki Neal of Lavonia and Samantha & Cody Bennett of Martin and eight great grandchildren. One sister Anne & Mike Haynie of Toccoa and brother in laws Kenneth Hallford of Eastanollee, Billy Hallford of Toccoa, Hoyt Scott of Toccoa and sister in law Doris Hallford of Tucker. 

Visitation will be held at Ginn funeral home Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 1:30pm till 2:30pm.Graveside services for Jimmy Jackson will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 3:00 PMat Tom's Creek church cemetery with Cody Bennett & Rev. Douglas Duncan.
