Jerry Albert Roberts

Jerry Albert Roberts, age 72, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Born in Royston, Georgia, he was the son of the late Albert Lemuel Roberts and Cora Elena Lowery Roberts. Jerry spent many years working in auto parts manufacturing, but his true joy was found in farming and tending his garden. He loved working the land and took pride in growing things with his own hands. He was a faithful member of Peniel Church in the Sandy Cross community.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant siblings, including Sarah Francis Roberts and James Lemuel Roberts; and by his brothers and sisters, Robbie Roberts, Blondine McCravy, Johnny Roberts and Brenda Harvill. And Sister in law Bonnie Faye Roberts.

Survivors include his sisters, Mae Kennedy of Conyers, Evelyn Cress of Carnesville, and Shelby Cope of Covington; along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Peniel Church in the Sandy Cross community with Rev. Bert Synan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Ginn Funeral Home.
