Jacky LeCroy

Jacky LeCroy, age 79, of the Red Hill Community, passed away in Athens, Georgia, on Friday, February 20, 2026.

Born on November 30, 1946, in Banks County, he was the son of the late Hoyt Jackson LeCroy and Ruby Bennett LeCroy. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Faye Norton.

Jacky lived in the Red Hill Community, where he was known for his quiet nature, steady character, and love for his family. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a member of Hunters Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Carlan LeCroy; his son, Jamie Hiland; and his grandson, Heath Hiland. He is also survived by his nephew, Dean (Elaine) Ward and Brent Ward; his niece, Rhonda (Eddie Wayne) Grizzle; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Hunters Creek Church on Sunday, Sunday, February 22, at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Ben Huff officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday at 1:00pm untill 3:00pm at Hunters Creek Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jacky's honor to Hunters Creek Church.
