Hugh Peeples

Hugh B. Peeples of Canon, passed away June 2, 2024, in Royston, GA.

Born July 12, 1932, he was the son of the late Lewis and Clemma Cheek Peeples. He was the husband of the late Nellie Jo Peeples. Hugh was a school bus driver for Franklin County school system for over 25+ years, served as a city councilman for the city of Canon 12 years, worked in construction and in the poultry industry. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting & fishing with his grandchildren along with spending time in his woodshop.

He is survived by his daughter Christy & Lanier Bridges, son Alan Peeples, grandchildren Tyler, Tanner, Tucker, Madison, Luke, and Paisley, as well as great-grandchild Lakelynn. Along with several nieces and nephews and lifelong friends Joe Cheek and Tommy Bentley.

Services will be Wednesday, June 5th at 3 pm at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Donnie Bowman. Internment will be at Oak View Cemetery in Canon, GA. Pallbearers will be Tyler Bridges, Tanner Bridges, Tucker Bridges, Luke Peeples, Ben Chapman, and Tyler White.

The family will receive friends from 1 till 3 on Wednesday at the funeral home with the service following afterwards at 3:00. Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com.
