Harold McDuffie

Harold Samuel McDuffie, age 84, passed away on January 7th in Anderson, South Carolina, surrounded by his loving family.

Harold was born on February 17, 1941, in Banks County, Georgia, to the late Obie and Bertha Watkins McDuffie. He later married Lillian Cobb, and the two shared 63 wonderful years of marriage together. Harold retired from Holiday Inn, where he worked faithfully as a restaurant manager. He was a member of Homer Church of God and greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Obie and Bertha McDuffie, and his brother, Obie Jay McDuffie of Baldwin, Georgia.

Harold is survived by his wife, Lillian McDuffie of Carnesville; his sons, Greg and Lynn McDuffie of Anderson, South Carolina, and Randall McDuffie of Carnesville; five grandchildren, Heather and Wesley Johnson of King, North Carolina, Hannah and Sean Murphy of Fort Drum, New York, Blake and Kenzie McDuffie of Carnesville, Adam and Andrea McDuffie of Lavonia, and Amy and Lee McCollum of Carnesville; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Ava, Harper, Chambley, Hudson, Haddon, Brooks, Rusty, McKenzie, Audie, Caden, Isley, Adalyn, Noah, and Elijah. He is also survived by his siblings, Addie Kenny and Glenda McDuffie, both of Bamberg, South Carolina.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Ginn Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 3:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Eddie Umbehant.

A private graveside service will be held at Indian Creek Baptist Church following the funeral service.

The family will be at their respective homes.
