Harold LeCroy

Harold E. “Chunk” LeCroy, 83, of Carnesville, passed away February 2, 2023, at the home of his daughter, Wanda.   

 

Born December 27, 1939, in Carnesville, he was the son of Loyd Thurman and Ella Ginn LeCroy. He was the father of the late Tommy Black and John Dale LeCroy, and brother of the late Mildred LeCroy Davis, and James A. LeCroy.  He was a retired poultry and cattle farmer, and was a veteran of the U S Army. He served as a pastor and was an dedicated worker of the Baptist faith.

 

He is survived by his wife Edna LeCroy; daughters, Karen (David) Phillips, Carnesville, and Wanda LeCroy Loudermilk, Lavonia; Grandchildren, Ethan Phillips, Kaley Phillips, Bill Loudermilk, Tommy Loudermilk, and Larry Loudermilk; Great-grandchildren, Hoyt Wiley Phillips, and Ruby Mae Phillips; brother, Joe Dan LeCroy, and sister Helen Varner, Bold Spring.

 

Services will be 3pm Sunday afternoon at B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Courtney Umberhant.   Private family committal and internment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens North.

The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm at the funeral home prior to the service.   Condolences may be left for the family at ginnfuneralhome.com.
