Harold Wayne Huff, 83 of Canon, GA, passed away at Brown Health and Rehab in Royston, GA on Saturday May 17, 2025. He was born April 14, 1942, in Proctor WV.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Lovie Huff, his siblings, Melba Jean and Ron Huff, his son, Mark Allen Huff and his nephew, Kenneth E. Huff.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan L. Huff, his son Wayne E. Huff and 3 daughters, Christine Czora (Jerry), Jeannie Jackson (Chris), Suzille Bailey (Mark), two nephews, Wayne and Stanley Huff, and several grand and great grandchildren.
Harold was a truck and charter bus driver for over 65 years and a retired member of the NY, TN and GA Teamsters Association. He and Susan lived in Springville, NY for many years before moving to Polk County TN and finally, back to GA in 2018. He loved his animals, fishing, hunting and travelling. He was a funny and charismatic guy, who was loved by many, including the staff and residents of Brown Health and Rehab. He made a great impression on anyone who had the opportunity to meet him because of the stories he would tell, (which may or may not have been stretched a little every time you heard them.) He loved to laugh and talk about trucking and the outdoors, telling many stories of his experiences throughout his lifetime. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A casual celebration of life will be held at Victoria Bryant State Park in front of Pavilion #6 on the creek side, Saturday, May 24th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Ginn Funeral Home in Carnesville, GA to help with funeral expenses.
