Grady Jordan

January 3, 1938 — July 5, 2024

Rev. Charles Grady Jordan, 86, of Carnesville passed away Friday, July 5th, 2024, at the home of Barry and Dawn Crunkleton, surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 3rd, 1938, in Maysville, GA he was the son of the late Marvin and Kate Jordan. Grady was proceeded in death by his adoring wife Rachel and their infant daughter Graylan Yvette and brother Donald Jordan. On August 10th, 1958, Grady married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Rachel Wood Jordan. Together Grady and Rachel raised a beautiful family, which was their greatest joy. Grady never missed an opportunity to spend time with his children, grand children and great grandchildren. As a retired pastor and school teacher, he spent his days selflessly giving and poring into the lives of everyone he met.

Grady is survived by his loving children Dawn & Barry Crunkleton and Dana & Jud Scott. He was the proud grandfather to Kelly John & Chad Crunkleton, Jordan & Ethan Scott, Payton & Dylan McFarlin, Graylan & Riley Crunkleton, Brandon & Jessica Crunkleton, Chris Crunkleton, Blake & Miranda Crunkleton. His Great-grandchildren are Jasmine, Jaden, Allie, Bentlee, Bella, Hannah, Emma-John, Blane, Carter, Alena, Charlotte and soon to be Beau.

In times of mourning and the midst of heartbreak it brings his family great comfort and joy to know Grady is truly home in the presence of Jesus and reunited with his love, his wife, Rachel. May his memory serve as a shining example and guiding light not only to his family but to everyone who knew him. He leaves a legacy of incredible love and compassion. The family will strive to honor Grady by sharing his faith in Jesus, love, compassion and patience with not only each other but with everyone they meet.
