Elton William Bruce Jr

Elton "William" Bruce Jr., age 72, of Martin, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born on August 6, 1953, in Jackson County, Georgia, William was the son of the late Elton William Bruce Sr. and Emily Cape Bruce. William worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Sandy Cross.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Joyce McElroy of Ila and Larry Malloy of Carnesville.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Bruce of Martin; his son, Eric (Nicole) Bruce of Duncan, South Carolina; and Dot Moore of Carnesville.

In accordance with William's wishes, a private burial will be held. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Riverside Baptist Church in Sandy Cross at a later date, with arrangements to be announced.
