Elaine Brooks

Elaine Cynthia Brooks, age 60, passed away at her home on March 11, 2026.

Born January 9, 1966, in Westminster, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Junior Brooks and Katie Morton Brooks. Elaine was a member of Riverside Church and worked for 12 years at the AutoZone Distribution Center in Lavonia. She was known for her love of family and the time she shared with those closest to her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Phillip Brooks and Gary Brooks, and her sister Patricia Brooks.

She is survived by her son, Derrick Garner; brothers Ray Brooks, Larry Brooks, and Jerry Brooks; sisters Mary Outz, Nancy Roberts, Debra Bond, Shirley Couch, Peggy Farmer, and Tammy Brooks; and grandchildren Lily Aldrich, Avery Garner, and Carlee Sailers.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00 PM at Ginn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at Cary Memorial Gardens.
