David "New Bob" Brooks

David "New Bob" Brooks, 62, passed away on February 20, 2024, in Royston, GA.

David "New Bob" Brooks was born on December 5, 1961 in Royston, GA, to Junior and Katie Brooks. He had a career as a carpenter and worked for Goss Construction. 

David has 2 children, Tasha McCollum and Roshanna Brooks.

David was best known for his love of fishing and being outdoors.

David is survived by his two daughters Tasha McCollum and Roshanna Brooks. Ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Siblings are Elaine Brooks, of Royston, Ray Brooks, of Royston, Larry Brooks, of Royston, Jerry Brooks, of Danielsville, Marry Outz, of Canon, Nancy Roberts, of Royston, Debra Bond, of Commerce, Shirley Couch, of Royston, Peggy Farmer, of Hartwell and Tammy Brooks, of Royston. 

David is preceded in death by his parents Junior & Katie Brooks, and siblings Phillip Brooks, Gary Brooks and Patricia Brooks.

The service for David "New Bob" will be held on Friday at 2:00pm at Ginn Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Jameson & Rev. Glenn Lyles, with graveside services following at Carey Memorial Cemetery in sandy cross. 

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00pm till 8:00pm at Ginn Funeral home.

The family will be at the home of Elaine Brooks
