Blanche ‘Dean’ Jordan, 82, of Royston, passed away early Sunday morning, November 16, 2014.
Born May 19, 1932, in Cleveland Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dolie Myers Smith. She was the widow of the late Charlie B. Jordan. The last member of her immediate family, she was the sister of the late Thomas Smith, Ava Mae Smith, Esley Smith, Albert “Ab” Smith, James “Jay” Smith, Mae Hambrick, Willie Mearl Smith, Oscar Smith, Earnest Smith, and Maggie Reanals. She was a homemaker and a member of Middle River Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas & Marilyn Jordan, Canon, GA, and Paul & Theresa Jordan, Carnesville, GA; four daughters and son-in-laws, Willie Mae and Dwayne Cowick, Carnesville, and Martha & Marvin Coker and Loretta & Stephen Parten, both of Royston, GA, and Pam Shead, Ila, GA; twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1pm Tuesday afternoon at the Middle River Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Jameson, and Rev. Clint Harper. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville. The family is at the home. They will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
