Betty Ruth Lockerman

Betty Ruth Holcombe Lockerman, age 92, passed away at the home of her daughter in Arnoldsville, GA, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Lockerman was born on January 7, 1934, in Augusta, GA, to the late Augustine and Betty Eddington Holcombe. She was married to the late T.C. Lockerman. She was a member of Allens Church in Red Hill and was a retired nurse, having devoted many years to caring for others at Toccoa Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.C. Lockerman; her parents, Augustine and Betty Eddington Holcombe; siblings, Harvey (Jeanie) Watson and Robert Watson; brother-in-law, Jon Peacock; and sister-in-law, Andrea Watson.

She is survived by her two children, Diane (Greg) Banks of Arnoldsville, GA, and Allan (Alice) Lockerman of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Heather (Eric) Stevens of Winterville, GA, Will (Whitney) Banks of Athens, GA, Rob (Kelli) Lockerman of Woodstock, GA, Jeff Lockerman of Nashville, TN, and Jennifer (Brian) Preston of Broken Arrow, OK; great-grandchildren, Micah, Amelia, Hunter, Katelyn, Selah, and Zeke; siblings, Jean Peacock of Morrow, GA, Mike Watson of Centre, AL, and Paul (Jean) Watson of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and sister-in-law, Vera Watson of Toccoa, GA

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Ginn Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Eric Stevens officiating.
