Barbara Ann Lanton

Barbara Lanton, age 66, passed away on April 20, 2026, at her home.

Barbara was born in Buford, Georgia, to the late Sammy Wilson and Patricia Wilson. She shared over 20 years with Clifford Buice, building a life together filled with love and companionship. Barbara was a devoted homemaker who cherished her family. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pam Wilson; and her brother, Sammy Wilson.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford Buice; daughter, Chrystal Ellis (Jeremy) of Carnesville; grandchildren, Samantha Churchwell (Tyler) of Eastanollee and Molly Jacobs (Chance) of Lavonia; sisters, Susan Wilson of Carnesville and Becky Smith of Braselton; and a nephews, Josh Wilson of Carnesville, Ben Smith, Jacob Smith & TJ Smith of Braselton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ginn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Stewart and Rev. Tommy Childress officiating. Graveside services will follow at New Bethel Baptist Church cemetery.
