Barbara Driskell

Barbara Lea Newman Driskell, 76, of Arnoldsville, GA, passed away Monday morning, October 2, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 4, 1947, in Villa Rica, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Eugene and Eva Bee Hendricks Newman.  She was the widow of the late Rev. Henry Frank Driskell, and grandmother of the late Destiny Driskell.  She was a graduate of Hiram High School. She was a retired special needs para-pro for Franklin County School System. She was a lifelong Methodist and recently attended Tuckston United Methodist Church of Athens Georgia.

She is survived by four children, Jodi Stephens, Eve Marie Smith, Sarah Baker, and Josh Driskell; four grandchildren, Samuel, McKenzie, Alex, and Haleigh; and sisters Ann Hicks and Janice Williams.

Services will be announced later.
