Andy McKie

Robert Andrew “Andy” McKie, 62, of the Ashland Community, passed June 8, 2023, peacefully at  his home with his loving wife and family.

Born November 10, 1959, in Commerce, he was the son of Howard and Sara Jordan McKie Sr.  He was a retired technician with Mount Vernon Mills.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ballenger McKie; son, Andrew (Renee) McKie, daughter Susan (Mike) Bolt;  four grandchildren, Breanna McKie, Skyler McKie, Aubrey Harbert, Ashlyn Harbert, Addie Meredith, Alex Christy, and numerous adopted children and grandchildren; two brothers, Donald McKie, and Howard McKie, Jr,

Services will be Saturday morning at 11am, at B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Stacey and Carl Ivester.  Interment will be at Jackson Memorial Gardens.  Those serving as pallbearers are Alex christy, Alex Tomas, Davy McKie, Sam McKie, Steve Ballenger, Steve Maurer, Skyler McKie, and Shane Ballenger.

Andy is at Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville. The family is at the home and will recieve friends from 6 until 8pm Friday evening at the funeral home.
